Research Assistant

Carlos Guerrero

Bio

I graduated from FIU with a B.A. in Psychology in 2022 and joined the REMEDY research group afterwards under the EMU study.

I am interested in learning how neuroimaging and neuropsychological assessments can be used as predictors for the onset/conservation of sleep and internalizing disorders (such as depression). In the future, I hope to take what I know and see how this battery of assessments can be used to predict the onset/conservation of severe mental illness (such as psychotic disorders). Additionally, I would love to study if the implementation of neuroimaging and neuropsychological testing could be used to predict the onset/conservation of severe mental illnesses in people who are predisposed to the condition or in those who have high anxiety and are deemed high risk.
