I completed my doctoral training in Psychology with a major in CognitiveNeuroscience working with Dr. Adriana Galván at UCLA. My doctoral researchfocused on the neural mechanisms contributing to the development of anxiety inadolescence, with a focus on how anxiety and risk-taking behaviors develop intandem and are affected by potentially modifiable factors such as adolescentsleep. I am currently a Postdoctoral Scholar on the REMEDY research teamstudying the neural and behavioral mechanisms by which sleep (measured viaactigraphy and polysomnography) impacts functioning in adolescent anxiety. Theoverarching goal of my research is to leverage the unique aspects of adolescentbrain and behavioral development to inform targeted treatments and promotehealthy emotional development amongst youth.
