Nathan Sollenberger and Colleagues Publish New Research on Sleep and Negative Reinforcement Learning in Relation to Alcohol Use

Congratulations to Nathan Sollenberger and coauthors for this recent publication based on Nathan's dissertation entitled:

Associations between sleep health, negative reinforcement learning, and alcohol use among South Florida college students with elevated internalizing symptoms

The article presents data from 60 college students (ages 18-20) where the association between sleep timing variability and alcohol use was significant at higher levels of depression symptom severity and lower levels of anxiety symptom severity.

These data have implications for future refinement of etiological models of alcohol use and risk for future alcohol-related problems among undergraduate college students.
